New Chocolate Frog Card Released for Christmas 2018

Harry Potter Chocolate Frog Card Devlin Whitehorn

Just in time for the Christmas season, a new chocolate frog card has been released. The latest character you can add to your collection is a gamechanger for the wizarding world: Devlin Whitehorn.

With every new card that is released, we get a bigger idea of how many intricate witches and wizards make up the extraordinary wizarding world as we know it. Even though he is not a character in the books or movies, his presence will be familiar to everyone who loves to travel by broom, and of course, from the importance of the Nimbus 2000 in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and Nimbus 2001 in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Whitehorn's company created them!

From the back of the card, we gain a bigger insight about his impact:
Devlin Whitehorn created the Nimbus Racing Broom Company. He helped design Nimbus brooms, which revolutionized the game of Quidditch. A master flyer, he is a Quidditch fan who enjoys watching and playing the game when he can.
Instead of a big announcement about the release of a new card, which has happened in the past, this one has been made available rather quietly. Similarly, the past few chocolate frog cards have prominently featured behind-the-scenes characters that are not very familiar in the Harry Potter universe. Previous recent card figures have included Jocunda Sykes (the first witch to fly over the Atlantic), Hengist of Woolcroft (founder of Hogsmeade), and Bertie Blotts (creator of Bertie Blotts Every Flavor Beans). It'll be interesting in the future if chocolate frog cards return to include familiar characters we already know or introduce new faces.

You can try to find Devlin Whitehorn's card from the mystery packs at Universal Studios such as the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando or purchase it directly from Warner Bros Studio Tour London. Check back for a review and closer look of the card to be added soon!

A Novel Love Chocolate Frog Bookmarks (Product Review)

Chooclate Frog Bookmarks Harry Potter Etsy
Chocolate frogs are one of my favorite snacks from the Harry Potter universe. But they aren't necessarily the easiest treat to enjoy - not only are they ready to jump away as soon as you open the package, but you can't eat all of the frogs you want once you catch them and avoid gaining a muggle pound.

One of my favorite discoveries as a Harry Potter fan has been these gorgeous chocolate frog inspired bookmarks! Made with love from A Novel Love Gifts on Etsy, these stunning designs are so much fun to use while reading and using in my planners. Adding them to my collection as Harry Potter fan and bookworm always makes me smile.

New Hogsmeade Chocolate Frog Card Revealed at Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Chocolate Frogs are one of the most popular snacks in the Harry Potter universe. It's one of the first treats Harry and his new friend Ron enjoy on their train ride to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. When a new card out, it's definitely the talk of the wizarding world.

Universal Studios theme parks has done an amazing job bringing this snack to life. Every chocolate frog includes a collectible card just like in the movies. So far the founders of Hogwarts, Professor Gilderoy Lockhart, Bertie Blotts, and Dumbledore has been made available to purchase at the theme parks. A new card was added to the pack: Hengist of Woodcroft, a Scottish wizard who founded Hogsmeade.

One of my favorite things to do at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure in Florida is to pick up the next card for my collection. Just like in the movies, the cards are random - meaning you don't know who you get until open your chocolate frog. To collect the new cards that come with specialty marked boxes, guests must be on hand to collect them in person. (You can purchase a four pack of the headmasters at the Universal Studios merchandise website).

Here's my first look at the Hengist of Woodcroft. Not much is known about this wizard since he's not very relevant in the books, but it's good to know who founded one of wizarding world's most popular locations.

Gilderoy Lockhart Chocolate Frog Card Added To Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Apparate out of this post if you wish to look no further! Universal theme parks has released a new addition to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter chocolate frog card line: the one and only Gilderoy Lockhart! And Potter Talk has its own special reveal below!

In the wizarding world, and now Muggle world, chocolate frogs are a popular snack Harry Potter and his friends enjoyed throughout their years at Hogwarts. What was merely a treat on the page and the big screen came to life when Universal Studios made chocolate frogs available to guests at their theme parks and online.

Each chocolate frog includes gold and purple packaging similar to the ones seen in the films, a card of a famous witch or wizard, and an edible chocolate frog.

So far, the collection of available cards includes the Hogwarts house founders Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff, and Salazar Slytherin, and Dumbledore.

Obviously, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to snag one. Who else could make a chocolate frog card more charming than Gilderoy's flamboyant poise and smile? He was, after all, a five-time winner of Witch Weekly's Most Charming Smile Award.

A Celebration of Harry Potter Event Features Exclusive Merchandise

A Celebration of Harry Potter kicks off the new year with a magical bang at Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure in Florida. An annual event for Harry Potter fans and guests celebrates the phenomenal franchise created by author J.K. Rowling with panels, an expo, and cast appearances.

Universal Orlando released details of the limited merchandise that will be available exclusively throughout the weekend. Potter Talk has had the privilege of attending the celebration and I look forward to seeing what's available in person.

A special wand (not pictured below) has an exclusive design specific to this year's event. It will only be available in limited quantities this weekend for pre-order at the expo and promises to be a definite MUST-SEE.

Five-time consecutive Witch Weekly’s Most-Charming-Smile Award winner, Gilderoy Lockhart, will debut as a new Chocolate Frog Card. The boxes will be available at the expo, Sugarplums, and Honeydukes, and feature a special sticker indicating the new card for two weeks. And then it will become a random mystery card similar to the Dumbledore and head of Hogwarts houses.

Graphic designers Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, who designed props, pamphlets, and posters for the film franchise will be appearing this year. The creative design team has new art displays and merchandise, such as charms from the Lumos collection, t-shirts, and more.
